Good questions welcome
The practical things, answered.
Tiny homes come with big questions. Here are the useful first answers—without pretending every site is the same.
What does the ‘from’ price include?
The prices on this site convert the former ex-GST prices to consumer prices including GST. Prices shown include GST. Delivery, upgrades, approvals, site works, footings and service connections are quoted separately unless expressly included.
Are TDU units NCC or Class 1a compliant?
TDU uses materials selected with Australian requirements in mind, but movable units do not automatically meet NCC requirements for permanent dwellings and are not supplied as Class 1a dwellings as standard. Compliance is site- and use-specific and requires advice from your council and certifier.
What warranty do you offer?
TDU states a five-year warranty on structural integrity and major components, beginning from delivery or completion and covering eligible defects in materials or workmanship under normal use. Your signed warranty terms control the final coverage.
What site preparation is required?
The site must be level, accessible and ready to receive the unit, including suitable footings or supports, clear delivery access and any required services prepared in advance.
Do you include installation and connections?
Delivery includes placement only unless specifically stated. Installation, footings, site works and service connections are not included in the standard price.
Can you deliver Australia-wide?
TDU can quote transport for metro, regional and remote sites where suitable access and transport can be arranged. Free pickup is available from Moorebank. Ask for a delivery quote using your postcode.
Can I customise a TDU Pod?
Yes. Available add-ons include bathroom and kitchen packages, cabinetry, TV and desk fittings, windows, cladding, decks and a registrable trailer. Final availability and pricing are confirmed in your quote.
Do you offer finance or payment plans?
TDU can introduce finance pathways through third-party lenders and may offer other arrangements subject to approval and final terms. Finance is not guaranteed and is provided by the relevant lender.
What is the purchase process?
The current process begins with an enquiry and requirements discussion, followed by a $1,000 deposit. The existing terms state that 50% is paid before build commencement and the balance before delivery. Your signed proposal confirms the applicable schedule.
How do I get an accurate quote?
Send us your preferred unit, postcode, intended use, budget, timing and anything you know about the site. We’ll request any measurements or access information needed for delivery.
